GIFTS USING INSURANCE

Donors also use insurance to fund charitable giving programs. When a policy is given outright to Hampshire, the donor generally is allowed a deduction equal to the cash surrender value of the policy, and premiums paid by the donor after the policy is contributed are fully deductible as charitable gifts.
